How to Browse - Treatment/Intervention
The Treatment/Intervention Browse feature of the National Quality Measures Clearinghouse
(NQMC), sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services, is based on the U.S. National Library of Medicine's (NLM)
Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) classification.
UMLS terms are arranged hierarchically with more specific concepts ("sub-concepts") arranged
beneath broader concepts.
Browse Tips
- You can view all measures linked to a treatment/intervention concept and its sub-concepts or
continue to move through the browse list to find measures linked to a more specific
topic.
- The link labeled "List All" is designed to display a list of all measures linked to
the concept you've chosen, as well as its sub-concepts. This function is similar to the
"explode" or "expand" commands used in searching.
- As you move through the browse list, you can always return to a previous level by clicking on
the appropriate link. You can return to the broader concepts in the hierarchy by clicking on the
term that is at the next highest level in the hierarchy. More specific sub-concepts are always
indented under the broader concept.
Questions or suggestions about the Treatment/Intervention Browse feature are welcome.
