How to Compare Measures

The National Quality Measures Clearinghouse™ (NQMC), sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides you with the ability to generate side-by-side comparisons for any combination of two or more measures. A standard set of measure attributes can be found in the Measure Comparison.

To construct a Measure Comparison, you must have generated a collection of measures in "My Collection" -- a list of measure titles -- either by using the NQMC Search or NQMC Browse features.

Tips

To select measures to compare, check the box next to a measure title to add it to "My Collection", or use the "Select All" option. Then click on the "Add to My Collection" button to add the selected measures to your collection.

Once you have added measures to "My Collection," you can generate a comparison by clicking on the "Compare Checked Measures" button found at the bottom of the "Measures in My Collection" page.

At any time during a single user session, you can view "My Collection" by using the "Compare" or "View My Collection" links found throughout the NQMC Web site.

To edit "My Collection," use the various options located at the bottom of the "Measures in My Collection" page.

Note: Measures are not retained in "My Collection" across multiple user sessions. Closing your browser will remove all selected measures from your collection. For more information, please see the Privacy Policy Notice.
