The National Quality Measures Clearinghouse™ (NQMC), sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, offers the following Web site features.
The NQMC electronic discussion list -- NQMC-L -- is available. This list is designed to support discussions on various issues such as measure development, methodology, research, implementation, and ongoing use.
The NQMC Update Service notifies you via e-mail when new features and measure summaries become available at the NQMC Web site. Notices alerting you to these updates are sent weekly. To sign up for our weekly NQMC Update Service or to manage your subscriptions, visit the Subscription Management page.
The NQMC Summaries may be accessed via network-capable handheld computers (Pocket PC and Palm compatibles [PDAs]) with installed browser applications; however, the NQMC does not prepare offline versions of the summaries. Where the measure developers prepare downloadable documents for offline viewing on PDAs, the "COMPANION DOCUMENTS" field of the NQMC Summaries will contain information on how to obtain these files from the developers. NQMC provides XML views of the Complete Summaries for measures. Once you have selected a measure, click on the "XML View" link in the Summary box of the Side Menu to view the XML codes. To learn more about the XML View, visit the XML page.
